A Disturbing Card….

This image from Delicious Darkness is called ‘Disturbia’ and is downright freaky!! I chose to use it because it went well with the ‘Number of the Beast’ papers (also from DD). The challenge at Haunted Design House is to re-use something (papers, images, techniques, etc) that you have recently used – I used these papers for their 666 challenge a few weeks ago, covering a chipboard bag with them. I’ve used them to back my card today

I only added a few touches of colour to the image with my Promarkers then matted onto black card. I added some lace across the bottom, with some iridescent dark gems for a touch of dark bling! Then I embossed some purple kraft core card with a skull, sanding to add highlights.

More die cuts (Cheery Lynn Flourish, Sizzix Picture Wheel, Spellbinders Skull and Crossbones) added the finishing touches to this creepy card!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

  1. This is wonderful! So glad you decided to take our challenge! I love how you used the picture wheel and added the skull to it. I have the same dies, and now I am inspired to use them like you did. Great color scheme, and I also am digging those flourishes. Where is that embossed skull from? I don’t have that one.
Thank you for braving the dungeon to play along with us at HDH!

  2. OOOh, I just love this, Teresa! Looks like something straight out of hell (in a good way, of course. ) Love the image and I think that digi paper deserves frequent use for sure. Love all your extras and the fab color scheme, too. Thanks for joining us in the dungeon at HDH. xxD
