The December Challenge at Spectrum Noir is all about ‘Food’…..and what better food is there than cupcakes?
This card features the gorgeous ‘Cinnamon Sugar’ stamp by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.
I used the following pens to colour her:
Skin: FS3, TN3
Hair: OR1, TN6, TN7, TN9
Eyes and Lips: CG4, CR6
Clothes: CG3, CG4, CR7, CR8, CR11, TB1, TB4, BGR1
Basket and Cakes: CR5, CR6, TN2, CT1, CT2, GB1, GB4, TB4
Background: BG1, BG3, BG4, Blender
After colouring I die- cut the image with a Marianne cutting die and applied a little Pumice Stone Distress Ink around the edge before layering onto red and black card. The background floral paper is from Trimcraft’s Riverside Revels stack.
The cupcake stamp and words were a free cover gift from Do-Crafts Creativity magazine and fitted the theme. I stamped them and coloured them with shades that I had used on the main image.
I die-cut a border using a Memory Box floral die and attached it and some red dotty ribbon underneath the stamped image.
Finally I used some Stickles to add a bit of sparkle to the cupcakes.
