AuroraWings Challenge – Asian Inspired

I hope that you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We certainly did and now I am raring to get on with a new year of crafting opportunities. The challenges have begun again on the AuroraWings Challenge blog and to kick off, our theme is ‘Asian Inspired’…

Image may contain: 2 people

I used Japanese Oiran in Kimono Spider Lily (no skull version) for my card:

The image is coloured with a mix of Copics, Promarkers and Brushmarkers, and although complex, it does break down into manageable areas for colouring.

I started with the figure and her flowing kimono….. and finished with the delicate lilies….

….added some geisha style makeup to her pretty face….

Please come and join us in our challenge, you don’t have to use an Aurorawings image, but if you do you can enter up to three times!!

  1. Oh Theresa, your coloring is exquisite!! This is an image I’ve been dying to try but since I got a “sneak peek” of your beautiful project, I chose another. That kimono is breathtaking and I love your CAS design. The paper is just perfect with the image. Nothing else needed. xxD

  2. Absolutely gorgeous project, Teresa! Your attention to detail is something that I’ve always admired about all of your creations, and this one is a lovely example of that. The way you colored the floral motif on her kimono is amazing! Thank you so much for this stunning inspiration for our latest challenge at Aurora Wings today! Mitzi xxx
