Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 – May

How long has Mr Holtz been creating tags for his 12 tags series’?? Years….I know…..and this is the first time that I have actually managed to get an entry in on time LOL! Usually I see the post, then forget for a while, then see somebody’s last minute entry and…it’s too late….

Well this time I have done it! Here is my take on his May techniques of Tissue Tape Resist and Tiny Tattered Florals…

2016TAG

I love the tissue tape resist – who’d have known that would work!! I used Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to colour my background. I do love my Tim Holtz tiny sentiment stickers….

The girl stamp and Serendipity word stamp are by Stampers Anonymous, the pencils are from Lost Coast Designs – all stamped in Archival Ink.

I added detail with DecoArt Media Modelling paste and a few stencils, and spritzed some gold mica spray for a bit of sparkle.

I don’t have the Sizzix dies but do have some Impression Obsession tiny roll up flower dies – they worked really well, tinted with Distress Inks.

I got to use the sewing machine for a second time this week, attaching some crochet lace. A bunch of colourful fibres finshed the tag off nicely.

  1. This is so cool! The texture is awesome, and I LOVE that stamp of pencils off to the right… perfect. I also really love the way you punched the leaves out of text!
