Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children

Last week I was thrilled to receive my copy of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children after having read so many rave reviews of this book. I couldn’t wait to start reading it and have to admit that I did not stop until I reached the end. I can heartily recommend this fantasy tale, and I am currently stalking the postman for the sequel which should be arriving today!!

Anyway, I was inspired to create this journal spread using some of Lindsay Mason Designs quirky digistamps. (They do not represent actual characters in the book, they just seem to possess similar odd qualities!)

Now, to anyone who has read this book, the imagery I have drawn in the background will make sense….to those of you who have not – I hope you just enjoy the surreality of it all, and maybe will be inspired to go and read the book at some point soon!

  1. I absolutely LOVE this journal page(s)!!! Love those peculiar children and your background images are sheer perfection!!
Isn’t it just magical how a book can have such an impact on your art? I guess I need the other books as well. I hate being left out of all the fun.
