Visible Image Stamps – Sparkle in the Rain Craft Stamper Feature

The latest issue of Craft Stamper is in the shops and the Visible Image team were asked to create some projects with the new release stamp designs.

I was given the Sparkle in the Rain set to work with and created a mixed media piece on wood:

Visible Image Stamps - Sparkle in the Rain

Here is a brief step by step of how I created it:

Mix brushos with water and make vertical stripes downwards from top edge of paper.
When dry add stripes with gelatos and blend with wet finger.
Stamp ‘rain’ using binary stamp.
Stamp feature image.
Mask and stamp words on white card, cut and edge with black pen.
Add clouds made from book pages gessoed and edged with marker.
Paint woodblock with black gesso and allow to dry before gluing papers on to front.
Finish with gem raindrops, and ribbon trim around sides.
