All Gored Up – An Aurora Wings Special Event

If you are looking for today’s 31 Days of Halloween post, you can find it here.

I was thrilled to be asked to do a GDT post for the creeptastic Aurora Wings ‘All Gored Up’ special event. I love my dark themed cards so I had no hesitation in joining in. I must say that this was a challenge, making one of Mitzi’s beautiful images into something horrifying and sinister took all my skills, but it was well worth the effort!

My card features the beautiful Icy Snow Queen which is available here. I transformed her into this:

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Copics, adding Glossy Accents to the dripping blood. I used Weathered Wood and Black Soot Distress Inks around the edges.

I layered the image over some gorgeous foiled papers, adding some Cheery Lynn die cut spider’s webs and butterfly. I finished with a glittered spider….about to capture his prey!

  2. Such a wicked Snow Queen you made with dripping blood (I love the glossy touches giving it a 3D look!), hollowed eyes, and the stiched up mouth. I find this challenge so fun – was tempted to turn one of my cute images into a bloody one, but ran out of time. So glad to have you agree to join us for the special event, Teresa!! Thank you for your help adding much excitement to the “All Gored Up” challenge. Big hugs,

    Mitzi xxx
