Imperfection Is Beauty

This piece is created with a vintage wooden spool, some dowel and a selection of Visible Image stamps.

I painted the spool with Payne’s Gray acrylic paint then added a scrap of purple and silver paper around the middle. Then I glued a piece of dowel inside the centre hole with Pinflair Glue Gel.

I stamped Molly from the ‘Molly Rules’ set of stamps and coloured her with Spectrum Noir pens before cutting her out. I stamped the wings from the Fae Hope set of stamps, coloured them with Spectrum Noir pens and cut them out. I cut off the bottom sections and saved them for the sentiment piece. I attached the wings to Molly and covered them with Stardust Stickles, then backed her onto black card.

I stamped the sentiment (one of the new Inkcognito range) and added some colour with Distress Inks, then attached the pieces of wings to either side. I fastened this to the spool with 3d foam.

Finally I used glue dots to stick Molly to the dowel.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Visible Image – Anything Goes

2 Cute Ink – Anything Goes

Avenue 613 – Anything Goes / Use A Sentiment

Glitter n Sparkle – Add Some Purple

The Sweet Pea Stampers – Fairies
