If you were reading my post the other day, you will have seen Clara….waiting to find a good home. Well, thankfully she has done just that – on a very vintage style tag.
I stamped ‘Clara’ by Visible Image stamps with black Memento ink and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir pens before cutting her out ready to mount on my tag.
I die cut the tag with a Sizzix Alterations die and added Tea Dye Distress Inks around the edges. I took a Kaisercraft ‘Distress’ patterned clear stamp and stamped randomly over the tag with Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. After all the inking I embossed the tag with an Embossabilities clock design embossing folder.
Then to add a little metallic shine I rubbed copper colour gilding wax over the embossed clocks. I added some Versamark ink around the edges of the tag and heat embossed some Tea Dye Distress embossing powder. I love the sandpaper texture that this gives.
I used a brass effect metal frame attached with brads, then stamped Clara’s name inside using a tiny alphabet stamp set. I used Pinflair gel glue to add some 3d dimension under Clara.
Finally I took three colours of seam binding ribbon and spritzed with gold Artiste spritzing spray before scrunching up to add texture. Once dry I tied them through the hole in my tag. I added two shades of brown to a paper rose with my Spectrum Noir pens, spritzed with the gold spray then tied it to the tag.
